HOLA!!!

I'm Elena i'm firsty in UWCCR, i'm here now for a god month and it's amazing every day is like the first day.

I even don't know where I shall start to talk about this experience so many things I 've seen in the last 4 weeks that I just want to share everything! So I just tell you the experience with the most influence of my way of thinking and I hope yours too.

Well, we have a project here called "getting know Costa Rica"; we have to choose 4 of 10 project, and how the name tells you already is to get know costa rica. in the last 2 weeks I participated on 2 projects 1st. project: beachcleaning: we went to a beach very close to an well known touristiques area in Costa rica, especially between the surfer, called Jaco( pacific coast), the project consist to see differentes part of Costa rica in one hand we saw this beach full of trash, we had to collect and to recycle this trash, after two hours work you couldn't even see a differneces. But the most shoking is this trash is made by us, Human every cigarettes we put into the toilet every bottled we throw on the floor because the way is "too far" to the bin goes into the canalization, which goes into the ocean and the rest you can imagen. After this, they show us the natural part of Costa Rica the mangroves, situaded just 500 meters behind this beach, full of a million differnetes animal( crocodiles, perrots, lezards ,differents kind of birds,..). And finally we saw the touristic part, Jaco beach, really clean and just wow, the whole day was just wow and I can tell you I've never seen something more beautiful then the mangroves and the sunset above the pacifique ocean.

Finally, last weekend, we had the second project "bring the green back" on beach hermosa, a really lonely beach just with a few beachhouses far from civilisation, electrecity, etc. So, what did we do? We saved turtelbabys and plant new trees that the turtels come back to laying down their eggs.  This project was during the whole weekend and we help about 200 babyturtel to get save into the ocean. We also did nightcontrol we looked that nobody is trying to steal the eggs, to look for nests and if we found eggs we brang them to a saver place.
