UWC
United World Colleges is an international movement that offers a unique and
excellent educational experience to young people worldwide.
UWC aims to promote intercultural understanding by bringing together
youngsters from all over the world to participate in an intensive learning
programme. Students are given this opportunity regardless of their
background or financial means. Core to the UWC concept are its Colleges and
Short courses.
To be able to leave for a UWC is really the chance of a lifetime. It gives you the opportunity to mix with people from very different cultures. We are all a bit anxious before we leave but we return with a feeling of bigger comprehension of other cultures and a mind opened up to the world. And icing on the cake we have the International Baccalaureate in our pocket!
